Water management is an increasingly important area in the production of oil and gas.

Tests at the lab of Cameron showed us that by combining a CLSR with a Hydrocyclone huge performance improvements can be obtained. a oil-water dispersion was created with high shear. 1000 ppm API 22 oil was sheared into saline water. bear in mind that the cut off point of an HC is at about 35 micron ! below find a picture showing the 180% performance improvement obtained!

The CLSR-series Coalescing Pump is a new promising technique. Without requiring complete new facilities, or major investments, the CLSR gives a new dimension to produced water separation. The CLSR offers oil droplets of 40 times their original size to separators, so their efficiency can easily be increased.
